| Bio | Laurie Stilwell Cohen was born in Springfield, Illinois on October 16, 1961. She practices in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation and Land Use Law. Laurie is a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.
She graduated from the University of Maryland (B.S., 1983) and Nova Southeastern University (J.D., 1995), where she served as an Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review and received the Highest Grade Award in legal research and writing. Prior to attending law school, Laurie held management level positions with Chrysler Corporation, Manufactures Hanover and Chase Automotive Finance. She is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Laurie is a member (emeritus) of American Inns of Court, a former Director of the Wellington Chamber (2007-2008) and served as Councilwoman for the Village of Wellington from 2003 through 2008. Laurie resides with her family in Wellington, Florida. |
